Why do we clear items?

The Clogau Gold range is constantly evolving. It’s one of the key reasons why our jewellery is so exciting year in, year out. Around 50 new items of jewellery are added to the range every six months and we take great pride in being a forward-looking company that embraces the demands of modern jewellery buyers looking for original, meaningful pieces.

To make room for the new arrivals some items inevitably have to be discontinued. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, by keeping the range to around 350 pieces, we are able to stock adequate quantities of each item (apart from some higher priced items which have to be hand-made to order). This ensures very quick despatch times.

Another factor is whether the item fits in with the general direction of our designs. Sometimes an item is left on its own after the other items in the collection have been discontinued. We much prefer to sell items as a collection.

Crucially though, we want our range to be fresh. And while the introduction of so many new products is expensive, it's something we are very happy to do to keep our jewellery exciting, unique and collectable for our customers.
